This item seeks approval for the donation of\n$783,926.82 to the City to create two non-wasting special funds dedicated to the funding\nof long-term management activities at two city owned vernal pool preserves.\nCouncil District(s) Affected: 6, 8.\nProposed Actions:\n(R-2026-17)\nResolution accepting a donation of a total of $783,926.82 from Developer Lincoln\nProperty Group and the San Ysidro School District for the purpose of creating two\nendowment funds for the long-term management and monitoring of two vernal pool\npreserves.\nIn addition, this Resolution authorizes the Department of Finance and the Office of the\nCity Treasurer to create interest-bearing special fund accounts in which to invest the\nendowment funds.\nCommittee Actions Taken:\nThis item was heard at the Land Use and Housing Committee meeting on July 02, 2025.\nACTION: Motion by Committee Member Campillo, second by Vice Chair Elo-Rivera, to\nrecommend Council approval of staff’s proposed actions.\nVOTE: 3-0; Lee-yea, Elo-Rivera-yea, Campillo-yea, Moreno-not present.\nParks & Recreation: Erika Ferreira, (619) 870-6035\nCity Attorney Contact: Catherine Morrison
