c) REPORT AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER TO PARTICIPATE IN FUTURE OPIOID\n23-0173 SETTLEMENT AGREEMENTS AND TO ALLOCATE SETTLEMENT\nFUNDS TO BEACH CITIES HEALTH DISTRICT\n(City Manager Suja Lowenthal)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Authorize City Manager to opt into future opioid settlement agreements, and direct the\nCity Manager to execute any documents necessary to implement the action; and\n2. Authorize City Manager to enter into a professional services agreement with Beach\nCities Health District to use its share of settlement dollars to support opioid abatement or\nremediation uses.
