12. Deplatforming Unlicensed Cannabis Dispensaries\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Horvath: Instruct County Counsel\nto report back to the Board in writing in 120 days on the feasibility of\n“deplatforming” illegal, unlicensed cannabis dispensaries; instruct the Director\nof Consumer and Business Affairs, through the Office of Cannabis\nManagement, in consultation with the Sheriff, to report back to the Board in\nwriting in 120 days with recommendations on strategies the County could\npursue locally and/or with the State to curb unlicensed cannabis advertising,\nincluding digital, and operations in the unincorporated County; and instruct the\nDirector of Consumer and Business Affairs, through the Office of Cannabis\nManagement, in consultation with the Chief Executive Officer, through the\nLegislative Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations Branch, to draft a\nfive-signature letter to Google, Yelp, and other search engine platforms, to\nvoluntarily cease advertising illegal cannabis dispensaries in the County.\n(24-4153)\nAttachments: Motion by Supervisor Horvath\nPublic Comment/Correspondence
