Proclaiming October 9, 2024 as “Ageism Awareness Day” in Los Angeles\nCounty\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Horvath: Proclaim October 9,\n2024 as “Ageism Awareness Day” throughout Los Angeles County; encourage\ncities in the County to also proclaim October 9, 2024 as Ageism Awareness\nDay; and instruct the Director of Aging and Disabilities to provide educational\nmaterial to all County Departments and other partners to encourage all residents\nto increase public awareness, combat ageism, and encourage residents to\nparticipate in intergenerational activities.
