4. Roadway Safety Along San Francisquito Canyon Road\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Barger: Instruct the Director of\nPublic Works to conduct a comprehensive traffic study, in consultation with\nCounty Counsel, on San Francisquito Canyon Road, between Elizabeth Lake\nRoad and the City of Santa Clarita boundary, and report back to the Board in\nwriting in 60 days, outlining initial strategies to increase traffic safety along this\nstretch of roadway; collaborate with the California Highway Patrol, and\ncommunity partners, such as the Automobile Club of Southern California, to\nformulate a robust Community Traffic Safety plan, including coordinating a\nseries of Community Traffic Safety meetings, with the meetings aimed to\ndisseminate information, educate the community, and solicit community input\nand shall be conducted, in person (with options for remote attendance), no later\nthan 90 days after approval of this motion; and report back to the Board in\nwriting within 60 days of the final Community Traffic Safety meeting with\nrecommendations and actions to address and improve roadway safety along\nSan Francisquito Canyon Road between Elizabeth Lake Road and the City of\nSanta Clarita boundary.
