1-D. Acceptance and Allocation of State of California Emergency Solutions\nGrant Funds\nRecommendation: Adopt and instruct the Chair to sign a resolution to accept\nEmergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds from the State Department of Housing\nand Community Development in an amount not to exceed $3,539,358, which will\nbe used to provide services to persons who are homeless, or at the risk of\nbecoming homeless, in the County; authorize the Executive Director of the Los\nAngeles County Development Authority to enter into an agreement with the\nState to receive an amount not to exceed $3,539,358 in State ESG funds for\nprograms that assist persons who are homeless, and incorporate these funds\ninto the Los Angeles County Development Authority's Fiscal Year 2023-24\nbudget, as needed, and include the final distribution of State ESG funds to Los\nAngeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA); and authorize the Executive\nDirector to submit an application for the ESG funds to the State and enter into\nan agreement not to exceed $3,539,358, and execute any necessary\namendments with LAHSA to fund programs with State ESG funds that assist\npersons who are homeless.
