Los Angeles County Proposition A funding for Youth and Senior Excursion Transportation\nCosts\nRecommendation(s):\nA. ​Appropriate $35,000 from Proposition A to account 21862300.5656 (Project String\nPROPACMNSRV.YOUTHTRNSP).\nB. Appropriate $36,000 from Proposition A to account 21862300.5656 (Project String\nPROPACMNSRV.SRTRNSPRT).\nThe City of Lancaster actively provides a variety of enriching field trips and educational\nexcursions to youth and senior participants through its Parks, Arts, Recreation and\nCommunity Services (PARCS) Department. These excursions offer participants the\nopportunity to experience cultural, educational, and recreational sites throughout the\nSouthern California region, enhancing quality of life and community connection. To support\nthese ongoing efforts and ensure affordability and accessibility for participants, the City has\nidentified available Proposition A Transportation Funds. The available funds will be utilized\nto offset the cost of transportation, including charter bus services and vehicle rentals,\nassociated with youth and senior excursions.
