32. Gift/Prepaid Debit Cards for Community Members Volunteering in the\nDepartment of Health Services Approved Activities\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Health Services to provide gift\ncards or prepaid debit cards to community members who assist the Department\nof Health Services (DHS) through their voluntary participation on approved\ncouncils, committees and/or projects, effective upon Board approval through\nFiscal Year 2026-27, at an amount not to exceed $150 per participant, per\napproved activity, with a total annual amount of the cards not to exceed\n$250,000; instruct the Director to establish policies and procedures governing\nthe distribution of such cards; and find that the foregoing is necessary to meet\nthe social needs of the population of the County by enhancing the DHS\nprograms which serve the community.
