54. On-Call Operated Heavy Equipment Rental Services Contracts\nRecommendation: Award four contracts to Gonzales Tractor Service, Inc.; Kip\nConstruction Services, Inc., ISCO Machinery, Inc., and Northwest Excavating,\nInc., for on-call operated heavy equipment rental services throughout the\nCounty, for a two-year term, with four one-year and six month-to-month\nextension options, for a maximum potential program term of 78 months and a\nmaximum potential aggregate program amount of $107,250,000; authorize the\nDirector of Public Works to execute or renew the contracts for each additional\nrenewal option and extension period if, in the opinion of the Director, the\ncontractor has successfully performed during the previous contract period, and\nthe services are still required, approve and execute amendments to incorporate\nnecessary changes within the scope of work, and to suspend work, if it is in the\nbest interest of the County; and authorize the Director to annually increase the\ncontract amount up to an additional 10% which is included in the maximum\npotential contract amount for unforeseen, additional work within the scope of the\ncontract, if required, and extend the contract expiration date as necessary to\ncomplete ongoing services.
