41. Incidental And Non-Incidental Expenses for Fiscal Years 2023-24 and\n2024-25\nRecommendation: Authorize the Interim Chief Probation Officer to expend up to\n$50,000 in addition to the Department’s $50,000 annual incidental expense\nauthority, from each of the Department’s Fiscal Years (FYs) 2023-24 and\n2024-25 appropriations to provide for staff-related incidental expenses for food\nand beverages at various official functions and meetings; instruct the Director\nof Internal Services to collaborate with the Interim Chief Probation Officer to\nprocure food, beverages, and any other products or services, as needed,\nrelated to the FYs 2023-24 and 2024-25 incidental and non-incidental\nexpenses; and authorize the Interim Chief Probation Officer to take the following\nactions: (Probation Department) APPROVE\nExpend up to $184,000 from each of the Probation Department's FYs\n2023-24 and 2024-25 appropriations to provide for youth-related\nnon-incidental expenses for food and beverages at various events;\nIncrease the food and beverage amount up to 3% for incidental expenses\nin FYs 2023-24 and 2024-25, contingent on available funds, to provide\nfor unanticipated official staff functions and meetings; and\nIncrease the food and beverage amount up to 3% for non-incidental\nexpenses in FYs 2023-24 and 2024-25, contingent on available funds, to\nprovide for unanticipated official youth-related events and extend this\nauthority.
