University of Southern California, Chan Division of Occupational Science\nand Occupational Therapy Contract\nRecommendation: Approve and authorize the Director of Mental Health to\nexecute a contract with the University of Southern California, Chan Division of\nOccupational Science and Occupational Therapy for the Academy Specializing\nIn Peers In Recovery Employment for a pilot program to strengthen the\nDepartment’s existing mental health peer workforce, effective upon Board\napproval through December 31, 2023, with a total contract amount (TCA) of\n$204,000, fully funded by a grant from the Kaiser Foundation Hospitals; and\nauthorize the Director to take the following related actions: (Department of\nMental Health) APPROVE\nExecute future amendments or modifications to the contract to extend the\nterm for one year, if appropriate, revise contract language, add, delete,\nmodify, or replace the statement of work, make corresponding service\nadjustments as necessary, and/or reflect changes to Federal, State, and\nCounty law, regulation, and/or policy, and increase the TCA, provided\nthat the County’s total payment will not exceed an increase of more than\n10% of the TCA, where applicable, and sufficient funds are available,\nand terminate the contract in accordance with the termination provisions,\nincluding termination for convenience.
