29. Department of Children and Family Services Lease Amendment\nRecommendation: Authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the\nproposed lease with Prologis L.P., a Delaware limited partnership, for\nDepartment of Children and Family Services’ continued use of approximately\n38,814 sq ft of office space, and 175 on-site parking spaces located at 5835\nSouth Eastern Avenue, in the City of Commerce (4), for an eight-year term, with\nan estimated maximum first-year base rental amount of $1,117,843, and a\nthree-month rent abatement of $279,461, totaling $838,382, and an estimated\naggregate total lease amount of $9,661,000 over the eight-year term, 45%\nfunded by the State and Federal funds and 55% Net County Cost, which is\nalready included in the Department’s existing budget; authorize the Chief\nExecutive Officer to execute any other ancillary documentation and take actions\nnecessary and appropriate to effectuate and implement the terms of the\nproposed lease, including, without limitation, exercising early termination rights;\nand find that the proposed lease is exempt from the California Environmental\nQuality Act.
