13. Support for Assembly Bill 785 (Santiago): Los Angeles California\nEnvironmental Quality Act Streamlining for Homelessness\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Horvath: Direct the Chief\nExecutive Officer, through the Legislative Affairs and Intergovernmental\nRelations Division, to support Assembly Bill 785 (Santiago), legislation which\nwould exempt, until 2030, from the California Environmental Quality Act, any\nactivity approved by the City of Los Angeles in the City, and the County in the\nunincorporated areas of the County, in furtherance of providing affordable\nhousing, emergency shelters, supportive housing, or transitional housing; and\ninstruct the County’s Legislative Advocates in Sacramento to take the\nappropriate legislative advocacy actions to advance this effort.
