10. U.S. Open Community Legacy Project at Maggie Hathaway Golf Course\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Mitchell: Instruct the Director of\nParks and Recreation to initiate discussions with the Fore Youth Golf\nFoundation, and American Golf of Glendale (AGG), to develop, among other\nthings, scopes of work and design, cost estimates, and timelines for the FORE\nYouth: 2023 U.S. Open Community Legacy Project (Legacy Project) at Maggie\nHathaway Golf Course, and return to the Board for project approvals as\nnecessary; and instruct the Director to take the following related actions:\nNegotiate and execute a three-party donation agreement (Donation\nAgreement) among the Fore Youth Golf Foundation, AGG and the\nCounty, in which, among other things, the Fore Youth Golf Foundation\nwill initially donate approximately $7,000,000 to the County, with the\noption to increase the donation amount to a total of approximately\n$15,000,000 during the term of the Donation Agreement, with AGG to\nimplement construction of the improvements in coordination with the\nDirector of Parks and Recreation and the Fore Youth Golf Foundation,\nand the County will accept the donation and permit the improvements at\nMaggie Hathaway Golf Course;\nExecute any other ancillary documentation necessary to effectuate and\nimplement the Legacy Project and the Donation Agreement; and\nAccept donation funds from Fore Youth Golf Foundation for the Legacy\nProject and deposit the funds into the Golf Capital Improvement Fund.\n(23-1885)\nAttachments: Motion by Supervisor Mitchell\nPublic Comment/Correspondence
