60. Repair, Remodel, Refurbishment and Maintenance Job Order Contracts\nRecommendation: Adopt the SimpleBid Book Job Order Contracting Unit Price\nCatalog prepared by Cannon/Parkin, Inc., dated February 2023, the Job Order\nContracting Construction Task Catalog and Specifications prepared by The\nGordian Group, Inc., dated February 2023, and the February 2023 Unit Price\nBook and Specifications prepared by JAMB Services, Inc.; advertise for bids to\nbe received before 9:00 a.m. on June 13, 2023, using the Cannon/Parkin,\nInc.'s, SimpleBid Job Order Contract (JOC) System, for five separate JOCs,\n2301CP to 2305CP, The Gordian Group, Inc.'s, JOC System for seven\nseparate JOCs, 2306GG to 2312GG, and JAMB Services, Inc., JOC System\nfor three separate JOCs, 2313JS to 2315JS; and authorize the Director of\nPublic Works to take the following actions: (Department of Public Works)\nADOPT\nDetermine that a bid is nonresponsive and reject a bid on that basis,\naward to the next lowest responsive and responsible bidder, waive\ninconsequential and nonmaterial deficiencies in bids submitted and\ndetermine, in accordance with the applicable contract and bid\ndocuments, whether the apparent lowest responsive and responsible\nbidder has satisfied all conditions for contract award, and upon\ndetermination, award and execute 15 JOCs, each in an amount not to\nexceed $5,700,000, and establish the effective date of the contracts upon\nreceipt by the Director of Public Works of acceptable performance and\npayment bonds and evidence of required contractor insurance; and\nWith respect to JOCs 2301CP to 2305CP, 2306GG to 2312GG, and\n2313JS to 2315JS, subject to a prior finding of exemption under the\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act, authorize the Director, to issue\nwork orders for projects that are not subject to the State Public Contract\nCode including maintenance work, as applicable, not to exceed\n$5,700,000 per work order, subject to the limitation that the aggregate\namount of all work orders issued under a particular JOC does not exceed\nthe $5,700,000 maximum contract amount of the JOC, upon receipt of\nfunding authorization from the Chief Executive Office or the appropriate\nfunding source.
