8. Arts and Music in Schools Launch: The Promise of Proposition 28\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Solis: Waive the $10 per vehicle\nparking fee for 350 vehicles and 10 ADA valet parking spaces, for those with\nvalid ADA placards only, in an amount of $3,600, at the Music Center Garage,\nexcluding the cost of liability insurance, for attendees of The Prop 28\nImplementation Advisory Council’s event “Arts and Music in Schools Launch:\nThe Promise of Prop 28,” to be held on May 22, 2023; and instruct the Director\nof Arts and Culture to leverage its role in maximizing the impact of Proposition\n28 Countywide, including utilizing the Department of Arts and Culture’s data\ncollection tools, partnership with the Los Angeles County Office of Education,\nand promotion of partnerships between school districts, non-profit arts\norganizations, and teaching artists.
