38. Syphilis Outbreak Strategy Project Grant Agreement\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Public Health to accept and sign a\nGrant Agreement (GA), received from the California Department of Public\nHealth (CDPH) for the term of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2027, at a\nmaximum obligation of $11,871,681, to support implementing the Syphilis\nOutbreak Strategy Project (Project), that includes innovative and impactful\nsyphilis and congenital syphilis prevention and control activities with a focus on\ndisproportionately impacted populations, with the general terms and conditions\nthat are incorporated into the GA to include provisions requiring the County to\nindemnify the State against all claims and losses related to this Grant and to\nwaive all claims and recourse against the State related to this Project; and\naccept future GAs and/or amendments from CDPH that are consistent with the\nrequirements of the GA that extends the term or funding at amounts to be\ndetermined by CDPH, reflect revisions to the award’s terms and conditions to\ninclude, but not be limited to, the rollover of unspent funds, redirection of funds,\nand/or an increase or decrease in funding.
