28. 2022 Urban Area Security Initiative Grant Funds\nRecommendation: Accept $9,590,672 in 2022 Urban Area Security Initiative\n(UASI) Grant funds under Assistance Listing Number 97.067, from the\nDepartment of Homeland Security, as distributed through the Los Angeles/Long\nBeach Urban Area, with a performance period of September 1, 2022 through\nMay 31, 2025, and approve the allocation of such funds; authorize the County’s\nPurchasing Agent to proceed with the solicitation and purchase of capital\nassets, which are in excess of $250,000, with two weeks advance notice to the\nBoard; authorize the Chief Executive Officer to approve and execute the UASI\nsubrecipient agreement with the City of Los Angeles, and all future\namendments, modifications, extensions, and augmentations as necessary; and\nfind that these actions are either not a project or are exempt from the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act.
