44. On-Call Geotechnical and Related Services Consultant Services\nAgreements\nRecommendation: Award and authorize the Director of Public Works to execute\nconsultant services agreements with the following nine business firms: four\nsmall-sized business firms: Geopentech, Inc., Geotechnical Professionals, Inc.,\nHushmand Associates, Inc., and Geo-Advantec, Inc.; one medium-sized\nbusiness firm: Petra Geosciences, Inc.; and four large-sized business firms:\nKleinfelder, Inc., AECOM Technical Services, Inc., Leighton Consulting, Inc.,\nand Tetra Tech, Inc., for an aggregate program amount not to exceed\n$20,000,000 for the entire three-year term, plus two one-year extension\noptions, if exercised, subject to the additional extension provisions; find that the\nproposed actions are exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act; and\nauthorize the Director to take the following related actions: (Department of\nPublic Works) APPROVE\nAuthorize additional services and extend the agreement expiration date,\nas necessary, to complete those additional services when those\nadditional services are previously unforeseen, related to a previously\nassigned scope of work on a given project, and are necessary for the\ncompletion of that given project;\nSupplement the initial not-to-exceed program amount of $20,000,000 by\n25% of the original amount, based on workload requirements, for a total\naggregate program amount of $25,000,000; and\nAdminister the agreements, and at the discretion of the Director,\nexercise the extension options based upon project demands and the level\nof satisfaction with the services provided with no change to the initial\nnot-to-exceed agreement amount for each category.
