16. Internal Services Department Custodial Services Workforce Reinvestment\nPlan\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Hahn: Instruct the Director of\nInternal Services, to complete an updated Insourcing and Workforce\nReinvestment Plan for the Internal Services Department’s (ISD’s) custodial\nservices within 120 days; authorize the Director to enter into negotiations and\nexecute contract amendments, to ensure that there is no service interruption to\nISD’s existing custodial services contracts and to do the following:\nExtend the current custodial services contract(s) term for a period of up\nto 24 months;\nMake necessary changes which affect the scope of services, and any\nterm or condition included under these contracts;\nIncrease the contract amounts, such that there is parity of custodial\nemployee economic standards between ISD and the Department of\nHealth Services; and\nExecute amendments should the original contracting entities merge, be\nacquired, or otherwise have a change of entity; and\nCancel the current ISD Custodial Services Request for Proposals,\nGCS-10616-S and GCS-10617-S, to provide time for the Board to consider the\nresults of the Insourcing and Workforce Reinvestment Plan and any further\naction.
