45. On-Call Channel Right-of-Way Clearing Services Contract\nRecommendation: Award an on-call services contract for channel right-of-way\nclearing services for San Gabriel River to J. Orozco Enterprises, Inc., a Local\nSmall Business Enterprise, for a one-year term with three one-year and up to\nsix month-to-month extension options, for a maximum potential contract term of\n54 months and a maximum potential contract amount of $4,908,357.08 with\nfunding for the first year included in the Department’s Internal Service Fund\nand with additional funding to be requested through the annual budget process;\naward a contract for on-call channel right-of-way clearing services - West\nArea, to International Environmental Corporation, a Local Small Business\nEnterprise, for a one-year term, with three one-year and up to six\nmonth-to-month extension options, for a maximum potential contract term of 54\nmonths and a maximum potential contract amount of $16,328,847.46; find that\nthe proposed contract work is exempt from the California Environmental Quality\nAct; and authorize the Director of Public Works to take the following related\nactions: (Department of Public Works) APPROVE\nExecute and renew the contracts for each additional extension option if,\nin the opinion of the Director, the contractors have successfully\nperformed the contract work during the previous contract period(s) and\nthe services are still required, approve and execute amendments to\nincorporate necessary changes within the scope of work and suspend\nwork, if it is in the best interest of the County to do so; and\nAnnually increase the contracts amounts up to an additional 10% which\nis included in the maximum potential contract amount for unforeseen\nadditional work within the scope of the contracts if required, and adjust\nthe annual contract amounts for each option year over the term of the\ncontracts to allow for an annual Cost-of-Living adjustment in accordance\nwith County policy and the terms of the contracts.
