6. Funding Agreement for Rail to River Segment A\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Mitchell: Find that pursuant to\nGovernment Code Section 26227, the use of funds in the amount of\n$15,000,000 for the electrical, lighting, and safety components of the Rail to\nRiver Segment A Project (Project) is necessary to meet the social needs of the\npopulation of the County and serves a public purpose; authorize the Chief\nExecutive Officer, to execute and, if necessary, amend or terminate a Funding\nAgreement with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority\n(LA Metro) in an amount up to $15,000,000, to provide support for electrical,\nlighting, and safety components of the Project; approve an appropriation\nadjustment to transfer $15,000,000 of funding to the Project and Facility\nDevelopment budget unit for a Funding Agreement with LA Metro to support the\nelectrical, lighting, and safety components of the Project, which will be fully\noffset by the recognition of $15,000,000 of American Rescue Plan Act (ARP)\nCoronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Funds for the Project via ARP’s revenue\nloss provisions; and find that the proposed actions are either not a Project or\nare exempt from the California Environmental Act. 4-VOTES (23-1716)\nAttachments: Motion by Supervisor Mitchell\nPublic Comment/Correspondence
