Grant Award and Future Awards and/or Amendments\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Public Health to accept and\nimplement a forthcoming grant award from the United States Department of\nAgriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS),\nAssistance Listing Number 10.025, for the American Rescue Plan SARS-CoV-2\nin Animals grant program for the period of May 1, 2023, through April 30, 2025,\nin an amount estimated not to exceed $2,000,000 annually, with funding to be\nincluded in the Department of Public Health’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-24 final\nchanges or supplemental budget phase, and to be included in future FYs, as\nnecessary; accept future awards and/or amendments that are consistent with\nthe requirements of the grant award and/or amendments, that extend the\nfunding periods at amounts to be determined by the USDA APHIS, reflect\nrevisions to the grant award’s terms and conditions to include, but not be limited\nto, the rollover of unspent funds, redirection of funds, and/or increase or\ndecrease in funding.
