13. Support for United States President Joseph R. Biden’s Executive Order\non Reducing Gun Violence and Making Our Communities Safer\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisors Solis and Hahn: Direct the Chief\nExecutive Officer through the Legislative Affairs and Intergovernmental\nRelations Division, to send a five-signature letter in support of President Joseph\nR. Biden, Jr.’s Executive Order on Reducing Gun Violence and Making Our\nCommunities Safer, and to support legislation that is consistent with the\nExecutive Order; and instruct County Counsel to review President Biden’s\nExecutive Order against previous actions of the Board, and report back to the\nBoard in writing in 45 days with recommendations on further actions the Board\ncan take to align itself with President Biden’s Executive Order, including, but not\nlimited to, creating new or expanding existing County ordinances, among other\nactions.
