21. Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities Program Grant\nAgreement\nRecommendation: Authorize the Chief Executive Officer to jointly apply for,\naccept and allocate grant and loan funds received from the California Strategic\nGrowth Council and/or the California Department of Housing and Community\nDevelopment, to develop approximately 160 units of affordable housing in the\nunincorporated area of the County and to fund numerous transportation, bike,\nand pedestrian improvements, for Meta Housing Corporation’s Metro at\nFlorence Project, located at 7220 Maie Avenue in Los Angeles (2), in an\namount not to exceed $50,000,000 under the Round 7 Affordable Housing and\nSustainable Communities (AHSC) Program, execute all needed documentation\nto support a joint grant and loan application with Meta Housing Corporation, and\nnegotiate and execute any needed mutual indemnity agreements including, but\nnot limited to, those between the County, the housing developer, and local\ntransit authorities; authorize the Chief Executive Officer to enter into standard\nagreements for AHSC Program funding including, but not limited to, State of\nCalifornia Standard Agreements for the Project being awarded funding, and\nany other needed documentation; and adopt a resolution for the Project,\nauthorizing the County to be a joint applicant with the housing developer for the\nAHSC Program.
