16. Proclaiming “César E. Chávez Day” 2023\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Solis: Proclaim March 27, 2023,\nas César Chávez Day throughout the County; instruct all County Departments,\nand request the Sheriff, District Attorney, Assessor, and Superintendent of\nSchools of the Los Angeles County Office of Education, to work with the County\nLibrarian, LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes, and the Director of Parks and\nRecreation, in promoting and sponsoring their César Chávez Day related\nevents, programs, and resources, including on respective websites and social\nmedia platforms; encourage all County residents to participate in volunteering\nefforts, as well as events being held throughout their communities to\ncommemorate the legacy of César Chávez; and waive the $10 per vehicle\nparking fee for approximatively 250 vehicles, for a total amount of $2,500, at the\nMusic Center Parking Garage, excluding the cost of liability insurance, for\ncommunity members attending the First District’s César Chávez Day Reception\nevent, to be held on March 24, 2023.
