39. The Old Road Over Castaic Creek Project\nRecommendation: Approve the Old Road Over Castaic Creek Project located in\nthe unincorporated County community of Val Verde (5) (Project) to seismically\nretrofit the Project bridge and authorize the Director of Public Works to\ncontinue with the preconstruction phase of the Project, including the\npreparation of construction documents and applications for all necessary\njurisdictional approvals; and consider the Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND)\nfor the Project together with any comments received during the public review\nprocess; find that the MND reflects the independent judgment and analysis of\nthe Board; adopt the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program (MMRP)\nfinding that the MMRP is adequately designed to ensure compliance with the\nmitigation measures during Project implementation; find on the basis of the\nwhole record before the Board that there is no substantial evidence the Project\nmay have a significant effect on the environment; and adopt the MND.\n(Department of Public Works) APPROVE (23-1116)\nAttachments: Board Letter\nPublic Comment/Correspondence
