44. As-Needed Hazardous Materials Cleanup Services Contract\nRecommendation: Acting as the Governing Body of the Consolidated Fire\nProtection District (District), approve and authorize the Fire Chief to execute a\ncontract between the District and HCI Environmental & Engineering Service\n(HCI), to provide as-needed hazardous materials cleanup services contract, the\ninitial term of the contract will be for three years, with two one-year extension\noptions, for a maximum contract term of five years, effective July 1, 2023;\nauthorize the maximum contract amount of $500,000, including the initial\ncontract term of three years, and two one-year extension options, in an amount\nnot to exceed $100,000 per year; authorize the Fire Chief to execute\namendments, suspensions, or termination if deemed necessary, including any\nextensions as described in recommendation two above, respectively, and in\naccordance with the approved contract terms and conditions, provided the\namounts payable under such amendments do not exceed the $100,000 annual\nbudget; and find that the contract is exempt from the California Environmental\nQuality Act.
