Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act and the Youthful Offender Block\nGrant\nRecommendation: Authorize the Interim Chief Probation Officer to finalize the\nCounty application for continuation funding of the consolidated Juvenile Justice\nCrime Prevention Act (JJCPA) and Youthful Offender Block Grant (YOBG)\nProgram (Program), and submit final documents to the Board of State and\nCommunity Corrections (BSCC) by May 1, 2023; accept JJCPA funding for\nFiscal Year (FY) 2023-24 at an estimated amount of $26,952,170 and YOBG\nfunding for FY 2023-24 at an estimated amount of $34,697,000 from the Board\nof State and Community Corrections; negotiate, execute, amend, modify,\nterminate, and/or extend agreements with agencies to provide services\nconsistent with the Program; and utilize any interest or unspent Program funds\navailable in FY 2023-24 on qualifying Program expenses.
