Acquisition of the Da Vinci Surgical System for LAC+USC Medical Center\nAppropriation Adjustment\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Internal Services, as the County’s\nPurchasing Agent, to proceed with the sole source acquisition of the da Vinci’s\nXi Dual Console System (da Vinci) from Intuitive Surgical, Inc. (Intuitive) for the\nDepartment of Health Services’ LAC+USC Medical Center (MC) (1), with an\nestimated cost of $2,790,000; and approve the Fiscal Year 2022-23\nappropriation adjustment to reallocate $2,790,000 from the Department of\nHealth Services Enterprise Fund-Committed for the Department of Health\nServices to LAC+USC MC’s Capital Assets - Equipment Appropriation\n$2,596,000, and Services and Supplies appropriation $194,000, to fully fund\nthe proposed equipment acquisition.
