42. Maintenance Program for Nonadvertising Bus Stop Amenities Services\nContract\nRecommendation: Find that the services can be more economically performed\nby an independent contractor; award and instruct the Chair to sign a services\ncontract with Shelter Clean Services, Inc., for the nonadvertising bus stop\namenities maintenance - North County (5), for a term of one year, with three\none-year and six month-to-month extension options, for a maximum potential\ncontract term of 54 months and a maximum potential contract amount of\n$3,822,965; authorize the Director of Public Works to renew the contract for\neach additional renewal option and extension period if, in the opinion of the\nDirector, the contractor has successfully performed during the previous\ncontract period and the services are still required; execute amendments to\nincorporate necessary changes within the scope of work; suspend work if it is\nin the best interest of the County to do so; increase the contract amount up to\nan additional 10% of the annual contract amount, for unforeseen additional\nwork within the scope of the contract if required; and find that the contract work\nis exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
