17. Ratification of Proclamation of Local Emergency for the Frigid Winter\nStorms\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Hahn: Ratify the Proclamation of\nLocal Emergency made on March 1, 2023, for the frigid winter storms, in the\nCounty of Los Angeles, which will remain in effect until its termination is\nproclaimed by the Board; instruct the Director of the Office of Emergency\nManagement to forward a copy of the Proclamation of Local Emergency to the\nDirector of California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, with the\nrequest that the Director find it acceptable in accordance with State law, that\nrecovery assistance be made available under the California Disaster Assistance\nAct, and expedite access to State and Federal resources and any other\nappropriate Federal disaster relief programs; and instruct County Departments\nto implement all assessment, assistance and monitoring efforts as applicable.\n(23-0995)\nAttachments: Motion by Supervisor Hahn\nPublic Comment/Correspondence
