49. 2022 Homeland Security Grant Program\nRecommendation: Adopt a resolution authorizing the Sheriff, as an agent for the\nCounty, to execute the Fiscal Years (FYs) 2020, 2021, and 2022 Homeland\nSecurity Grant Program (HSGP) awards, and take any actions necessary for\nthe purpose of obtaining the FYs 2020, 2021, and 2022 HSGP Federal financial\nassistance provided by the Federal Department of Homeland Security and\nsub-granted through the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services\n(Cal OES), as a requirement of the grant application process; and authorize the\nSheriff to take the following related actions: (Sheriff’s Department) ADOPT\nExecute a grant award in the amount of $2,887,500 with no required\nmatch by Cal OES for the FY 2022 HSGP Federal grant funds, as\ndistributed through Cal OES, for the grant period from\nSeptember 1, 2022, through May 31, 2025;\nExecute and submit all required grant documents, including, but not\nlimited to, agreements, amendments, modifications, extensions,\naugmentations, and reimbursement requests necessary for completion of\nthe FY 2022 HSGP;\nExecute funding agreements with various outside law enforcement\nagencies, including, but not limited to, the District Attorney's Office, Los\nAngeles Police Department, California Highway Patrol, and the State of\nCalifornia Department of Justice for reimbursement of FY 2022 HSGP\nfunds, and to execute as necessary, all future amendments,\nmodifications, extensions, and augmentations to such funding\nagreements; and\nApply and submit a grant application to Cal OES for the Regional Threat\nAssessment Center Program in future fiscal years, and execute all\nrequired grant application documents, including assurances and\ncertifications, when and if such future funding becomes available\n(23-0896)\nAttachments: Board Letter\nPublic Comment/Correspondence
