40. On-Call Emergency Water Distribution System Repair Program Award\nAgreements\nRecommendation: Award and authorize the Director of Public Works to execute\nagreements for On-Call Emergency Water Distribution System Repair Program\nservices that will provide repair crew(s), appropriate equipment, and materials\nin response to emergencies arising from failures in water facilities owned,\noperated, or administered by the County, with each of the following two\nsmall-sized firms, Cedro Construction, Inc. and Mike Bubalo Construction Co.,\nInc. and one large-sized firm, W.A. Rasic Construction Company, Inc., for\nthree-year terms, with a not-to-exceed aggregate program annual amount of\n$1,000,000, two one-year extension options for a total aggregate program\namount of $5,000,000, subject to the additional extension provisions specified\nbelow; and authorize the Director to take the following related actions:\n(Department of Public Works) APPROVE 4-VOTES\nAdminister the agreements and at the discretion of the Director, exercise\nthe options extending these agreements for the two one-year extension\noptions based upon project demands and the level of satisfaction with the\nservices provided with no change to the initial not-to exceed contract\namount;\nSupplement the initial not-to-exceed aggregate program amount of\n$5,000,000, up to 25% of the original program amount based on\nworkload requirements; and\nAuthorize additional services and extend the contract expiration dates as\nnecessary to complete additional services when those additional services\nare previously unforeseen, related to a previously assigned scope of\nwork on a given project, and are necessary for the completion of that\ngiven project.
