28. Fiscal Year 2022 Emergency Management Performance Grant Program\nFunds\nRecommendation: Accept $2,711,522 in funding for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022\nEmergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) Program as distributed\nthrough the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), to\nbe used to support comprehensive emergency management activities at the\nlocal levels and to encourage the improvement of preparedness, response,\nrecovery, and mitigation capabilities for all hazards and disasters, with a\nperformance period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2024, and the allocation\nof a portion of such funds to the County’s Chief Executive Office - Office of\nEmergency Management in the amount of $903,750, to support County\nemergency preparedness and response activities; authorize the Chief Executive\nOfficer to enter into subrecipient agreements with Disaster Management Areas\nproviding for use and reallocation of funds, and to execute all future\namendments, modifications, extensions, and augmentations relative to the\nsubrecipient agreements, as necessary; find that the proposed actions are\neither not a project or are exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.\n(23-0901)\nAttachments: Board Letter\nPublic Comment/Correspondence
