49. County Code, Title 22 - Planning and Zoning Amendment\nOrdinance for adoption amending County Code, Title 22 - Planning and Zoning,\nto authorize the proposed Florence-Firestone Transit Oriented District Specific\nPlan, for the unincorporated community of Florence-Firestone, which\nincorporates changes to land use, zoning and development standards centered\naround the Slauson, Florence, and Firestone rail stations, and updates the\nFlorence-Firestone Community Plan, redesignates land use and zoning\ncategories in Florence-Firestone to facilitate more affordable housing\nopportunities, economic development, pedestrian and other multi-modal access\naround transit stations and within the community, addresses\nindustrial/residential incompatibility, and implements the Housing Element; as a\npart of this project, the Florence-Firestone Community Standards District in\nCounty Code, Chapter 22.324, will be repealed and replaced with Chapter\n22.418, the Florence-Firestone Transit-Oriented District Specific Plan Zones\nand Development Standards, which comprises development standards to\nencourage active transportation and community-serving uses.\n(On March 15, 2022, the Board indicated an intent to approve the ordinance.)\nADOPT (Relates to Agenda Nos. 24 and 50) (23-0556)\nAttachments: Ordinance\nPublic Comment/Correspondence
