46. Probation Department Drug Testing Services Contract Amendment\nRecommendation: Authorize the Chief Probation Officer to execute an\namendment to a contract with Phamatech Inc., for the provision of drug testing\nservices, to extend the current contract period for an additional 12 months, at\nan estimated amount of $300,000, effective April 1, 2023 through March 31,\n2024, with an additional 12-month extension option from April 1, 2024 through\nMarch 31, 2025, at an estimated annual amount of $300,000; and authorize the\nChief Probation Officer to take the related actions: (Probation Department)\nAPPROVE\nExecute modifications to the contract for any decrease or increase, from\nthe approved contract period and/or contract amount above, not to\nexceed 15% of the contract rates, and/or 180 days to the period of\nperformance, pursuant to the terms of the contract; and\nApprove necessary changes to the scope of service, as well as\nnon-material, technical, and administrative changes, and terminate, in\nwhole or in part, the contract with Phamatech Inc., once the Department\nhas completed its solicitation process and entered into a new contract for\nDrug Testing services.
