24. Adoption Promotion and Support Services Contract Amendment\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Children and Family Services to\nexecute an Adoption Promotion and Support Services (APSS) contract\namendment with Children's Bureau, to reallocate funds from an agency\nproviding services in Service Planning Area 8, that has requested to not renew\ntheir contract after December 31, 2022, forgoing the two option years, with the\ntotal funding to be reallocated being $218,500, per year, effective upon the\namendment execution date through December 31, 2023, and in the subsequent\ncontract term, funding is included in the Fiscal Year 2022-23 adopted budget\nand to be included in the Department’s subsequent budget requests; and\nauthorize the Director to take the following actions: (Department of Children\nand Family Services) APPROVE\nExecute amendments to contractors willing to perform work left from an\nagency that chooses to sunset or terminate their APSS contract by\nincreasing the maximum annual contract amount not to exceed 75%, with\nsuch increase to be reallocated among the remaining contracts providing\nservices for current and future extension periods, provided that funding is\navailable;\nExecute amendments to the APSS contracts for any mergers,\nacquisitions, or changes in ownership, for any revisions required by\nchanges in local, State and Federal regulations, or for necessary\nchanges to meet the needs of the County’s APSS program; and\nTerminate APSS contracts for contractor default, if necessary.\n(23-0247)\nAttachments: Board Letter\nPublic Comment/Correspondence
