35. Boilers and Chillers Replacement Project\nRecommendation: Approve a revised project budget of $46,100,000, an\nincrease of $21,200,000 from the previous Board approved amount of\n$24,900,000, for the demolition and make-ready work on the Civic Center\nCentral Plant Boiler and Chillers Replacement Project, Capital Project No.\n87735 (Project) (1); award and authorize the Director of Public Works to\nexecute an architectural/engineering agreement with Perkins Eastman\nArchitects, D.P.C., for the design of the Project at an amount not to exceed\n$6,100,000 for the duration of the Project until final acceptance by the County;\nsupplement the contract amount by up to 25% based on the Project's needs;\nauthorize the Director of Internal Services, as the County's Purchasing Agent,\nto carry out the required processes for procurement and acquisition of long\nlead mechanical and electrical equipment for the Project at an amount not to\nexceed $6,000,000; and find that the recommended actions are within the\nscope of the previous exemption from the California Environmental Quality Act.\n(Department of Public Works) APPROVE 4-VOTES (23-0015)\nAttachments: Board Letter\nPublic Comment/Correspondence
