1. Proclamation of Local Emergency for Winter Storms in the County of\n Los Angeles\n\n Recommendation as submitted by Supervisor Hahn: Ratify the Proclamation of Local\n Emergency made on January 10, 2023, for winter storms in the County of Los Angeles,\n which will remain in effect until its termination is proclaimed by the Board; instruct the\n Director of the Office of Emergency Management to forward a copy of the Proclamation\n of Local Emergency to the Director of the California Governor’s Office of Emergency\n Services, with the request that the Director find it acceptable in accordance with State\n law that recovery assistance be made available under the California Disaster Assistance\n Act, and expedite access to State and Federal resources and any other appropriate\n Federal disaster relief programs; and instruct County Departments to implement all\n assessment, assistance and monitoring efforts as applicable.
