40. On-Call Commercial and Institutional Recycling Program Services\nAgreement\nRecommendation: Award a contract to Stearns, Conrad and Schmidt,\nConsulting Engineers, Inc., for the On-Call Commercial and Institutional\nRecycling Program, for a two-year term with two one-year and up to six\nmonth-to-month extension options, for a maximum potential contract term of 54\nmonths and a maximum potential contract amount of $3,538,706; authorize the\nDirector of Public Works to execute the contract, renew the contract for each\nadditional and extension option if, in the opinion of the Director, the contractor\nhas successfully performed during the previous contract period and the\nservices are still required; approve and execute amendments to incorporate\nnecessary changes within the scope of work; suspend work if it is in the best\ninterest of the County to do so; and annually increase the contract amount up to\nan additional 10% of the annual contract amount, which is included in the\nmaximum potential contract amount for unforeseen additional work within the\nscope of the contract, if required, and carry over up to 25% of the contract\nfunds remaining at the end of each contract year to the succeeding contract\nyear.
