26. 25-56021\nOffice or Department:\nCommunity Development\nSuggested Action:\nApprove recommendation.\nRecommendation to receive supporting documentation into the record, conclude\nthe public hearing, and determine that the amendments to the Long Beach\nBuildings Standards Code are categorically exempt from the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15305 (Class 5 – Minor\nAlterations to Land Use Limitations) of the CEQA Guidelines and none of the\nexceptions in Section 15300.2 apply, and that the Project is further exempt\npursuant to Section 15308 (Actions by Regulatory Agencies for Protection of the\nEnvironment) and Section 15061(b)(3) (Common Sense Exemption), as the\nactions will not result directly or indirectly in significant environmental impacts\n(CE25-083);\nAdopt resolution making express findings and determinations relating to the\nadoption of more restrictive code provisions where appropriate;\n25-56022\nDeclare ordinance amending Sections 18.40.820, 18.40.830, 18.41.300, and\n18.41.310 of the Long Beach Municipal Code relating to enhanced drowning\nprevention measures for private swimming pools, read for the first time and laid\nover to the next regular meeting of the City Council for final reading;\n25-56065\nDeclare ordinance amending Sections 18.40.275, 18.41.280 and 18.41.290 of the\nLong Beach Municipal Code relating to design requirements considering future\nsea-level for buildings in coastal flood hazard areas, read for the first time and laid\nover to the next regular meeting of the City Council for final reading; and\n25-56066\nDeclare ordinance amending Section 18.79.020 of the Long Beach Municipal Code\nrelating to clarifying requirements for subgrade electrical work in areas with\npotential methane gas, read for the first time and laid over to the next regular\nmeeting of the City Council for final reading.
