34.\nADOPTION OF RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACT AS\nTHE DIRECTOR OF EMERGENCY SERVICES DURING THE EXISTENCE OR\nTHREATENED EXISTENCE OF A LOCAL EMERGENCY (FIRE)\nRECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:\n1) Adopt the attached Resolution proclaiming the City Manager to act as the Director\nof Emergency Services during the existence or threatened existence of a local\nemergency, in accordance with California Government Code Section 8630 and\nChapter 26 of the Santa Fe Springs Municipal Code; and\n2) Take such additional, related, action that may be desirable.\nAPPOINTMENTS TO BOARDS, COMMITTEES, AND COMMISSIONS\nCOUNCIL COMMENTS/AB1234 COUNCIL CONFERENCE REPORTING\nCouncil member announcements; requests for future agenda items; conference/meetings\nreports. Members of the City Council will provide a brief report on meetings attended at the\nexpense of the local agency as required by Government Code Section 53232.3(d).
