9.F. Library Flooring - Award of Contract\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider:\n1. Authorizing the City Manager to execute a public works contract, in a form approved\nby the City Attorney, with Dura Flooring, in the amount of $365,954 for the Library\nCarpet Replacement Project;\n2. Authorizing the Director of Public Works to approve change orders and contingency\nup to $36,595 (10%) of the contract amount, for a total project cost of $402,549; and\n3. Taking such additional, related, action that may be desirable.\nCEQA (California Environmental Quality Act):\nThe City reviewed the environmental impacts of the proposed Ordinance pursuant to the\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (Public Resources Code §§ 21000, et seq. “CEQA”)\nand the regulations promulgated thereunder (14 Cal. Code of Regs. §§ 15000, et seq., the\n“CEQA Guidelines”). The proposed work is for the carpet replacement of an existing City\nfacility. Accordingly, no further environmental review is required.
