17.\n25-687\nDiscussion and Direction to the City Clerk and the City Attorney\nRegarding Voter Identification and Requirements\nRecommended Action:\nA) Direct the City Manager to work with the City Clerk and City Attorney to return with cost\nestimate to retain an elections consultant to assist the City in developing a process to\nimplement the measures approved by the voters in Resolution No. 2024-12 for the 2026\nHuntington Beach Municipal Election; and,\nB) Direct that an ordinance be drafted and brought to City Council for the implementation\nof Voter Identification pursuant to the passing of Measure A from the March 3, 2024,\nPresidential Primary Election; and,\nC) Direct the City Manager to return with an estimate of the costs associated with\nimplementing Resolution No. 2024-12.\nORDINANCES FOR INTRODUCTION
