20.\n25-710\nItem Submitted by Councilman Chad Williams – Allocation of\nRevenue Increases to Public Safety\nRecommended Action:\nDirect the City Manager to allocate all revenues generated from the 2025 updates to the\nSeptember 2, 2025\nHuntington Beach Uniform Bail Schedule for Parking Violations exclusively as follows for\npublic safety enhancements: 70% to the Police Department to be expended at the\ndiscretion of the Police Chief for the highest and best use; and 30% to the Fire\nDepartment, prioritizing funding for the second administrative Fire Captain position (with\nany excess for other Fire public safety needs). Further direct the City Manager to track\nthese revenues separately and provide quarterly reports to the Council on collections,\nallocations, and expenditures to ensure transparency and compliance with this directive.\n25-714\nItem Submitted by Council Woman Gracey Van Der Mark – Request\nfor Resolution in Opposition to Special Election for Redistricting\nRecommended Action:\nDirect the City Manager to draft a resolution for City Council approval in opposition to\nGovernor Newsom’s special election regarding redistricting and bring the resolution back\nfor consideration on September 16, 2025.\nCITY COUNCIL MEMBER REQUESTS
