6.2 Second Reading of Proposed Ordinances Amending Title 10 (Buildings and\nConstruction) and Chapter 5-16 (Fire Code) of the Laguna Hills Municipal\nCode and Adopting by Reference the 2025 Edition of the California Building\nStandards Code (California Code of Regulations, Title 24) Consisting of the\nCalifornia Building Code, Residential Code, Electrical Code, Mechanical Code,\nPlumbing Code, Energy Code, Historical Building Code, Fire Code, Existing\nBuilding Code, Green Building Standards Code, and Referenced Standards\nCode, and the Wildland-Urban Interface Code, Together with Certain\nAmendments, Additions, and Deletions Thereto, and Adopting By Reference\nthe 2025 International Property Maintenance Code\nRecommendation: That the City Council:\n1. Conduct a Public Hearing;\n2. Adopt an Ordinance entitled: “An Ordinance of the City of Laguna Hills,\nCalifornia, Amending Title 10 (Buildings and Construction) of the Laguna\nHills Municipal Code and Adopting by Reference the 2025 Edition of the\nCalifornia Building Standards Code (California Code of Regulations, Title 24),\nConsisting of the 2025 California Building Code, the 2025 California\nResidential Code Including Appendices BF and CI, the 2025 California\nElectrical Code, the 2025 California Mechanical Code, the 2025 California\nPlumbing Code, the 2025 California Energy Code, the 2025 California\nHistorical Building Code, the 2025 California Existing Building Code, the 2025\nCalifornia Green Building Standards Code, the 2025 California Referenced\nStandards Code, and the 2025 California Wildland-Urban Interface Code\nIncluding Appendices F and G, Together with Certain Amendments,\nAdditions, and Deletions Thereto; and Adopting by Reference the 2024\nInternational Property Maintenance Code.”\n3. Adopt an Ordinance entitled: “An Ordinance of the City of Laguna Hills,\nCalifornia, Amending Chapter 5-16 (Fire Code) of Title 5 (Health and\nSanitation) of the Laguna Hills Municipal Code and Adopting by Reference\nthe 2025 Edition of the California Fire Code Including Appendices B, BB, C,\nCC, and H together with certain amendments, additions, and deletions\nthereto.”
