8.\nAcceptance of Permanent Local Housing Allocation Funding Award for Program Years\n2022 and 2023\nRECOMMENDATION:\nThat the City Council adopts the next Resolution, in order, to:\n1. Accept, appropriate, allocate, and expend an additional award of $977,350 for a\nfive-year total of $3,729,761 from the State of California Department of Housing\nand Community Development's (HCD) Permanent Local Housing Allocation\n(PLHA) grant award (22-PLHA-17775) authorized by Senate Bill 2 (SB 2),\nChapter 364, Statutes of 2017;\n2. Accept, appropriate, allocate, and expend Program Income in the amount of\n$74,983.84 from accrued interest that has been received to date; and\n3. Authorize the City Manager or designee to make any necessary updates and\nsign any agreements and amendments to obligate and expend PLHA funding.
