(5) 23-0002-S52 RULES, ELECTIONS, AND INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS COMMITTEE REPORT and RESOLUTION relative to establishing the City’s position regarding Senate Bill 567 (Durazo), the Homelessness Prevention Act, which builds on existing law to better protect California's low-income renters from unjust evictions and exorbitant rent increases. Recommendation for Council action, pursuant to Resolution (Raman – Harris-Dawson), SUBJECT TO THE CONCURRENCE OF THE MAYOR: RESOLVE to include in the City's 2023-24 State Legislative Program SUPPORT for Senate Bill 567 (Durazo), the Homelessness Prevention Act, which builds on existing law to better protect California's low-income renters from unjust evictions and exorbitant rent increases.
