Item No. 26. 2023-0197 CONSIDER APPROVING AN INCREASE IN THE\nNOT-TO-EXCEED PURCHASING LIMIT PURSUANT\nTO THE COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT\nWITH AMAZON BUSINESS FROM THE\nPREVIOUSLY-APPROVED LIMIT OF $40,000 PER\nFISCAL YEAR TO A NEW LIMIT OF $100,000 PER\nFISCAL YEAR (CITY COUNCIL)\nRecommendation: TAKE the following actions:\n1. WAIVE the formal bidding procedures as defined by Carson\nMunicipal Code (CMC) Section 2610, as allowed by CMC Section\n2611(g) (cooperative purchasing).\n2. AUTHORIZE the City to make purchases of materials, supplies\nand equipment from Amazon Business in a cumulative amount not\nto exceed $100,000 per fiscal year (representing an increase of\n$60,000 per fiscal year from the previously-approved limit of\n$40,000 per fiscal year), effective from March 21, 2023, to May 5,\n2025, and for each fiscal year contained within said effective\nperiod, pursuant to Omnia Partners Contract No. MA3457, and\nAPPROVE form purchase orders to be used as needed to\neffectuate such purchases pursuant to CMC Section 2605 in the\ndetermination of the Purchasing Manager.\nSponsors: Community Services\nAttachments: RFP No. MG20-81\nContract No. MA3457\nEvaluation Documentation\nSPECIAL ORDERS OF THE DAY: (Item 27)\nPublic testimony is restricted to three minutes per speaker, speaking once\n(excepting applicants who are afforded a right of rebuttal, if desired), unless\nextended by order of the Mayor with the approval of the City Council.
